Project Manager Job Description

The PM candidate must have experience on Federal Government projects. Strong leadership, communication, problem solving, initiative, and teamwork skills are required.

Job Requirements
B.S. in Construction Engineering, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architectural Engineering, or equivalent
5+ years’ experience- preferably on Federal Projects/Corps of Engineers
Must have on site construction experience
Shall be experienced in DOD project protocols with a working knowledge of the FAR
 LEED AP preferred
Have an understanding of the USACE EM-385 Safety and Health Manual 
Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficient with MS Office Suite
Be responsible for implementation of design (if applicable) to complete the project. 
Assume all other typical responsibilities related to the management and oversight of construction projects.

Position Description  
The PM's first responsibility is to support the effectiveness of the Superintendent and the project staff.  The PM will concentrate on long-term planning, scheduling, and the identification and resolution of possible issues before they can impact the project. The PM is responsible for ensuring that logistical support is completed in a timely manner so that the Superintendent can concentrate on the daily and weekly direction of the company's resources and coordination of subcontractors. The PM will manage team members, time management, and develop client relationships on the project. In addition the PM shall foster a team environment and provide guidance to ensure that safety and quality are a priority.

Duties
Direct contract administration, procurement, scheduling and costing; supervise project, staff oversight and mentoring, risk management, and quality control
Provide direction to the project team to complete the projects safe and on time
Oversee the development and then adherence to the project schedule
Deliver a profitable project
Manage onsite administration of subcontracts.
Analyze and resolve work problems
Prepare payment applications
Portray a positive attitude and demonstrate professional customer service skills
Build and foster a project team culture of outstanding performance and partnering
Develop and implement a quality plan that ensures the construction meets or exceeds the specified performance criteria
Work as part of a team in the development of modification proposals
Primary liaison when negotiating customer contracts
Manage site work and logistics efficiently and look for ways to improve
Develop strategies to address underutilization and/or inclusiveness across the project
Identify opportunities for performance improvement and process redesign
Work according to standard instruction and established procedures
Demonstrate business operations and project leadership consistent with Mass Service & Supply values
Exemplify Mass’ code of conduct at all times
Promote a respectful environment for all team members
